I'm delighted to announce that a book version of my internet diary will be published by the indie publisher P&H Books.
Diary at the Centre of the Earth, Volume 1 will cover the years 1997 to 2007 and will be beautifully presented with a cover designed by Lawrence Gullo.
The book will include brand new annotations by myself, rare materials from forgotten magazines, and an introduction by Travis Elborough, who featured the diary in his anthologies A London Year, A Traveller's Year, Our History of the 20th Century, and Bus Fare.
To cover the costs of an initial print run, the publisher Rob Wringham and I will seek out customers via a Kickstarter funding campaign. Oh yes!
This means that we have 30 days to gather enough advance orders to meet our budget. If we fail, everyone will get their money back but the book will not be published.
Such jeopardy!
The campaign will go live tomorrow (Tuesday 8 July). I hope you’ll watch this space for the link.
Please do pass it on.
With gratitude,
Dickon
